I daren't phone my friend Jeanette again, she really believes I can do this on my own. I asked her if she thought I had a touch of Altzimers, she laughed and said, 'Well you must have had it in your forties then because you've always been the same.' Made me feel better!
I haven't even worked out yet, how I mannaged to get the site today.
I'm taking more Computer classes and if I only remember half I'll be happy. I'm really techno phobic, the way I feel about my computer you would think it could bite me. I'm also doing aroabics again sounds good for a woman in her mid 70s . But I have to confess they are called armchair aroabics, not that we sit in armchairs. We do work hard though with weights and rubber bands, I have lost half an inch off my bat wings.
Moving on; as I'm sure you will know by now my friend Jeanette is computor Queen in my life. I wrote my first blog as an exersice at the writing club I went to. She put it on for me. She has just come back from Malta and has given me a hard time for not doing another one.
She had been working in Italy and was exhausted. So last weekend we had a girly few days.
We are great friends and have been for many years. she is doing the travelling now that I did thirty years ago, so have a lot in common.
Anyway our weekend consisted of wine (red) , icecream, well I ate the icream, chocolate and those dinners £ 10 for two.
'I would rather dust my stove now than cook on it, in fact I have flowers and plants on the lid, most of the time. I'm a lady that lunches with luckily, my many friends who are still around. I am happily on my own at home, but have three or four best men friends. It works well if I need any small repairs etc doing, one of them will help me out. At these times I will remove my flowers and use my cooker to make a meal, then they go home.
But there are still married men out there who say to me, as if it's a sad thing. Oh you should have settled down with a man. The last one who said that to me was waiting for his wife as she came out of work, so they could get home for her to make his dinner! I'd just booked three weeks in Malta.!
I have had some very important, to me; men in my life but have to say I can't ever remember one of them saying to me, 'What can I do for you? Or I will take care of you!' But happily I'm made of sterner stuff and can look after myself.
I went to my great grandson Tyler's christening yesterday and had a lovely day. he is one year old on the 8th of this month and is a most cherished boy.
I was on the bus a couple of days ago and a very young man with a small boy in a trolley got on. He was only a month or two older than Tyler and was happy and smiley. I talked to him and he laughed and could say Hya, then he said Dadda. The young man was so proud and told me he hadn't seen him for several months as he was in the army. He had just come back from serving in Afgahnistan and told me he had two other brothers in the army as well. I couldn't speak to him for a few minutes, as I thought about the stress his family must be going through. I have three grandsons and know how much we all love them.
Because I have had to write this blog straight onto the site I have written a completely different one to the one I have in save. Perhaps I will send the other one as well, when i get Jeanette to show me how to. So as I can't find spell check either, my apologises if I've too many errors.
Well here goes I've put this on all on my own, all I have to do now is find out how to send it!
